My Story

The start:

Hi my name is Hinna and my healing journey started 23 years ago when I was living a traditional Hindu life. Even with a great family, stable job and beautiful children my soul was still searching for something greater. Living this lifestyle had its joys but I did feel limited when it came to connecting with the self, processing traumas, speaking freely and overall I felt restricted. It got to the point where I can only describe this as the dark night of the soul. I had anxiety, depression, confusion, emptiness within and I felt like a change had to be made in my life.
The change:
Whilst still living with family, I took a personal choice to understand the Hindu-vedic religion. I learnt more about Hindu gods and goddesses, attending Hindu festivals and understanding the core routes of Hinduism. I travelled to India to discover the power of the goddess kali ma (along with other deities) which I was drawn to at the time. Multiple trips to India helped me discover my true inner strength by working with gurus and rishis in temples. I also began my music journey learning traditional folk songs, Sanskrit mantras and bhajans which I continue to this day.
The music:
The journeys to India led me down a deeper musical path. Traditional music is very healing through the sounds and vibrations produced by the instruments. My passion for music grew and I was playing instruments such as: tabla, dhol, guitar, djembe, gong, doing sound healing and using my voice to sing. I became quite well versed in a range of instruments and I felt like I needed to share my music and voice to heal others.
The Shamanic:

The wisdoms and teachings from India were profound but I still felt like there was a void I needed to fill. During a time in my life a dear sister introduced me to the shamanic path. I found the shamanic path works very closely with nature and the elements around us such as: fire, water, earth and air. I felt deeply connected to myself during these ceremonies and wanted to go deeper into shamanic healing. Fast forward to present day I have now facilitated a range of ceremonies, worked with various plants and herbs, visited tribes from the amazon rainforest and learned a range of shamanic instruments. I'm passionate about these teachings and sharing its messages to help others who may also feel trapped like I once was.
